Celebrating Holi: A Festival of Colours and Joy

Over the past few days, Holi, the vibrant festival of colours, has been celebrated with great enthusiasm across the world. Known for its joyous spirit and playful traditions, Holi brings people together, transcending boundaries of age, culture, and nationality.
In India, the festival took on an even more special significance this year, with our chairman, Dr. Rajni Rijal, joining in the fun and immersing herself in the tradition of throwing colourful powder. The streets were alive with laughter and excitement, as the air was filled with an explosion of hues. This celebration was made even more meaningful with the participation of CII 2025 members, who actively engaged in spreading the festive cheer.
A particularly heartwarming moment came from the children at the ADAPT Bandra School, who joined in the festivities, adding their own splash of colour to the occasion. For them, Holi was not just a festival, but an opportunity to experience the joy of unity and the beauty of diversity.
Holi, celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, is a festival that marks the arrival of spring, symbolising the victory of good over evil. The throwing of coloured powder, or gulal, is a traditional part of the celebration, with people dancing, singing, and enjoying festive foods.
This year’s Holi celebrations were a reminder of the power of joy and togetherness, with each splash of colour symbolising the beauty of life and the bonds that tie us all together.
